In the movie dances with wolves what are examples of empathy?Anyhoo, when they take the little white girl in after her family has been killed, is one example.

That movie had an extraordinary amount of empathy, from the beginning of the movie when the general gives Kevin Costner's character his own surgeon as he begs not to loose his leg. When he finds stands with a fist bleeding not yet realizing she was probably committing suicide. His friendship with winds in his hair is born of contempt, the respect of one another as soldiers as they realize they both have at times an impossible opposing mutual obligation to their countrymen. Ten bears empathizes as he is White man alone in this country and knowing that is difficult to survive, he says this white man must have medicine. He has empathy for the lone wolf he names two socks. He helps the Sioux fight the Pawnee off and eventually the US army. all of these situations and friendships are born of empathy. Even the Indian wife in the movie empathizes with them saying "he is white she is white and shrugs" and that is when he tells stands with a fist she is done mourning enabling her to marry dances with wolves. The movie ends on a note of empathy when he leaves the tribe to seek out men who will listen. Knowing the US army will hunt them down as long as dances with wolves lives with them.
