Can anyone tell me the difference between " client and customer"? Best answer on the web
  • I am writing a dissatation on business ethics and there seems to be a different definition for the American word and the Britsh word of when to use "customer and when to use client".

Can somebody please help me with references where possible. It is for a degree. Thanks

  • Customer is someone who buys goods (like at any retail store) from you, client buys services (like from a lawyer, counselor, doctor, hairdresser etc.).

  • i think a customer would be in a more retail market where as client would be more towards the services side of things..
